T-Posers Part 2
In this, our second session with the incredible Pascal Langdale, we discuss acting for motion capture - including how marker-less capture compares to optical capture - and we temporarily go DEEP into the math that is blend shapes. Super high fidelity technology still has to relate to the “man on the street”, so regardless of who owns the data and the platforms (looking at you Facebook), what is key is bridging the concept of a character, and the physical performance. Method acting, psycho-physical, Laban – all inform each other, and these skills are what Pascal relies on to achieve his outstanding work.
